Hi,
My name is Sariyah Scarborough, I am 17 years old.  I am in the 11th grade, yes I am a proud Junior that is counting down to becoming a rising Senior.  I am an honor student taking advance courses.  I have many hobbies, drawing is one of my hobbies. I love doing hair, makeup and just looking and feeling BEAUTIFUL.  I also love nice clothes and accessories.  I've taken a few sewing classes and designed my shirt while at the age of 13.  I'm currently enrolled in Cosmetology to obtain my license.  A lot of my time is spent on looking at fashion world.

My inspiration into the beauty world started as a young girl I would watch my Auntie Franny dress, match her clothes and fix her hair.  She had her own style.  My auntie Franny was BEAUTIFUL, we had a close bond with each other.  She took me school shopping every year.  This was to spare me from my Mom being a Mom and choosing my clothes, lol.  This year I didn't get to go school shopping with my auntie.  My heart was and still is broken.

On April 9, 2020 my Auntie Francesca Harris-Scarborough was murdered, found shot in her car.  I always took for granted that she would be here for me.  I could tell her any and everything and she would always listen to me no matter how busy she was.  Aunt Franny love the natural look and natural products.  Prior to her passing she had begun to make her own natural products.  After her death I began studying how to make natural products of my own.

Beauty in Simplicity was inspired by my Auntie and in memory of my Aunt Franny.  Beauty in Simplicity means "simply beautiful as she was".  It's my way of taking a traumatic experience and turn it into something beautiful that would hopefully help me through my journey and through my grief.
